I am making a front-end GUI for my SQL Server database using Access 2007 (I've abandoned InfoPath for now).

One thing that is bugging me is that my ProductID field in SQL Server is a primary key with identity specification (autonumbering). But when I view this data through Access 2007, it does not show up in Form design. It wants me to enter a number for the ProductID field manually.

Does anyone know a way around this?

I figured it out.... just leave the ID field blank and it will auto-insert a unique number for you.

For anyone looking for a decent front-end to help with data entry, I cannot stress enough how good Access 2007 is. It is simple and so easy to make great forms with awesome functionality.
