| We have our SQL cluster all setup and failover etc. works as expected between nodes. Our setup consists of the following:-2x HP Proliant G5 DL385Windows x64 R2 SP2 (AMD Optrn)HP Storage Works MSA500 G1 (Firmware 1.90) SCSII have updated all firmware & drivers on all controllers etc. to find that when we attempt a restore using Redgate SQL-Backup5, to a drive on the MSA (clustered resource), the restore takes down the entire cluster and the all servers become unresponsive. A hard restart of the MSA is required followed by a restart of each physical server in order for the servers to see the array. Can anybody shed any light on this? I've adjusted the cache ratio on the MSA but no success. |

Thanks TaraIts interesting because yesterday we performed a conversion on the database from Redgate to native SQL so we tried to perform the restore using the built in SQL restore tool. Again this crashed the system. Worked fine on the first occassion, but the second restore of the same DB always take the cluster down. |
