Hi everyone.

First, introductions as this is my first post. I work at a small company and whilst I have a good number of years of SQL Server experience (going back to around 1998) I am not exactly a DBA, coming as I do from a development background.

However, due to being a small company the role of SQL 'Gatekeeper' is falling in my lap, and we've just received SQL Server 2008 Enterprise edition, which I am playing with right now.

One of my tasks is to find a way of adopting version control practices in the same way that we have done for our VS.NET 2008 development - using Team Foundation Server.

My question is, then, do you know whether I can get 2008 EE to integrate into the version control system built into TFS, and if so do you have any links or tutorials to help me get started with it?

In a wider sense I have to look at how we will manage database change and workflow, and I'd hope that by keeping it altogether within TFS we could standardise somewhat on procedures and so on.

So, any help very much appreciated!

John
