Hey,Just wondering if I could get some feedback here.I'm currently running SQL2005, on a leased license from my hosting provider. It's not cheap to lease monthly (2 processors) and well I want to upgrade to sql2008.I'm thinking that I could drop my lease, and use the 6 month trial. Anybody have any opinions on this ?? Im assuming this is an OK way to proceed? Thanks for any feedback.Mike123 |

Hey Peso,I didnt think of this, so I just looked into it further. It appears yes it wont be a problem. I talked to my host they said it was ok, and looking at the microsoft website, they describe it as completely functional, and dont mention commercial use anywhere that I can see. If anyone sees something different, feel free to correct me :)Thanks!Mike |

We just moved to 2008, but web edition cost $25 monthly while workgroup cost $75 monthly. We got the whole db to ourselves on a xeon quad core dedicated server. this includes 20gb of daily backup. We also have a seperate install of MS SQL 2005 express on the same server. We think its a fair deal. |
