Hey,I was thinking of upgrading to sql server 2008 for my development machine, intellisense being a major reason why as I am working on an application with many tables.I'm wondering, does the database I work off of have to be sql2008 for it to work as well ? Thanks!mike123 |

Yup. Intellisense only works in query windows connected to SQL 2008 servers. As an alternative, try RedGate's SQL Prompt. I've been using that for a couple years. Takes a little getting used to , but is very good.--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |

Ahh ok, thats too bad for now. Altho I am going to look at upgrading my SQL2005 to SQL2008.My host isn't offering SQL2008 yet, but since I lease my license its always easy for me to upgrade to the latest version at no cost. Hopefully they will support it soon.I hope I can do it for this feature alone :)Thanks!mike123 |
