Hi, Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong forum. My company is currently running SQL Server 2000. Its coming up to budget planning time, and I want to upgrade to 2008.I can think of plenty of justifications from my point of view (I run a development team) with the enhancements to T-SQL, reporting and data mining, but what will really swing the vote will be any enhancements to db administration, an area which I don't know much about. The IT team responsible for budget are also the team who administer databases, so I'm much more likely to get what I want if I can show that its in their best interests as well.So with that in mind, what are the top 3 reasons for a db admin to upgrade from SQL server 2000?Cheers,Yonabout |
