Customer's database has corrupted table (I think).

reads

Looks like corruption and someone fiddling with the system tables. Was this DB upgraded from SQL 2000?

Do you have a backup?

All of our customer databases were at one time 2000, and they have been upgraded intermitently to 2005. I am not aware of a backup, but I am not the support rep who is talking with the customer. I am just one of the programmers trying to help out.

Can you find out if there is a up to date backup? The best (and recommended) way to fix corruption is to restore to a clean backup then use transaction log backups to get up to date.
