Hi,I’m after a datasource – xml, csv etc... of all the worlds countries, drilled down by areas, cities etc...I’ve found a few free ones, which, are a good start, however i require a bit more depth.I’m trying to create a hierarchical database with locations in –End result, i want my users to be able to search for a destination, in a similar way (infact almost identical) to www.booking.comAs you can see – if we take Malia, in Greece as an example... the hierarchy would look something like:Greece (country) Crete MaliaSo, by searching for “crete” it shows all the hotels in crete (including malia) but you can then drill down.Basically, i’d like my database scheme to be:LocationName | ParentOf |Lon | LatIf i could include lon / lat that would be great.Any ideas as to where i can get the data i need?I’ve found http://www.geodatasource.com but don’t know if the data here will refer to itself hierarchically?Another one is www.globixdata.com |
