Sorry I posted the wrong KB article . The one that i referred is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296799 .On careful readnig I understand it talks about the hot spare node in a large cluster pool whereas my question is with respect to hot spare disk . Do I need to take care off any thing special for configuring hot spare disk from cluster point of view . |

No. In fact, it makes you recovery disk failure much faster. |
