| I have a small doubt. Database mirroring is automatic failover.If the primary is down, then the secondary will start working as a primary. As a dba how can we know that secondary is running as a primary. |

| Who said Database mirroring is automatic failover only ? You can choose to manually failover also in DB mirroring. In automatic Failover, Secondary database becomes primary as you can see the status on Database like (Principle,synchronized). You can query DMVS also to find status. |
