One of the colors picked for the forum is a non-standard CSS color, and shows up as black in Gecko based browsers (And if I remember its also different in Opera based browsers) If you switch to a HEX color value instead that wont happen. The violating color in this case is navyblue, which shows up as a light blue in IE, a dark blue in Opera (I think) and as black in Gecko/Mozilla/Netscape. |

Shouldn't this be posted as a bug in the Mozilla/Gecko/etc forums? And since I understand the reality of that making a difference I'll see what I can't to do fix Snitz. However, there is some disagreement about which hex value to use. Check out this thread: http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=30879 and tell me which hex value to use.===============================================Creating tomorrow's legacy systems today. One crisis at a time. |

Hi graz. The proper HEX is #A0B0E0 (That is the HEX for the color IE renders 'navyblue' as)And as far as I know this is actually an IE bug, not a Mozilla bug. Its one of those cases where a bug became a feature and everyone else copied it to make their browsers 'compatable' with IE instead of with the w3c standards.I was a moderator over at snitz for quite some time, so I answered this question many times #9FAFDF as mentioned in the other thread, is virtually the same shade as A0B0E0. I don't think you could tell the difference with the nakid eye, so it doesn't really matter which it is. |

Nathan & Doug,So is this as easy as updating the color in the admin page from "navyblue" to the appropriate hex code or do I need to do a search and replace in the source code?===============================================Creating tomorrow's legacy systems today. One crisis at a time. |
