Recently installed SharePoint Services and my IIS Web Sites stopped working. As anyone ran into this problem. I've posted this on the iis forum but I'm in a real rush to get a site up and running and i'm running out of time. Does anyone have a list of properties for me to check on in IIS. I've already made sure the services are running and files are still present.

I'm running win2003 enterprise, iis6.

Thank you.

"Stopped Working"
Not a lot of info Valter.
Did you try google groups, there are a bunch of Sharepoint groups archived, there must be someone with the same problem.

The new beta right.
I installed it to have a peek. Looked like it totally wanted to take over the default web site, I didn't have a need to fight it. Set it up on a new dev server then develop on a "new site with extra bound IP." like most of the live servers where I am, cause I don't run the default folder anyways on live stuff.
Not too sure if the WSS setup lets you change.
The WSS (Windows SharePoint Services) news group is real helpful once you get past the goofy product naming. I'll find the addy in the morning and post.

It is a real cool product though, just after some testing it seems way better thasn the old sharepoint overlay on iis5. I looked at it because I have been building a bunch of non scaleable document versioning/qeueing messaging stuff and a nice thing like Sharepoint is a complete package and will future gel with the new Office. I wonder how much it will cost? Found some bugs if run with MSDE and multiple instances. The recommended install is with full MSSQL. That's great and all but I liked how with MSDE it is a total stand alone. They have removed some of the limitations of the MSDE instance it uses. I can't see many DBA's saying yeah add the beta WSS database to our business SQL. But a web server with full SQL licence just for WSS would work good of course, that's why I'm curios about price. Anyways have fun it is cool and if you like GUI's Frontpage 2003 ties right in for editing some wild stuff. Network libraries are diabled on the base MSDE install so to take a peak via QA you need to enable them.
