Hi Friends,I have my database running on SQL Server 2000 in a clustered environment. Is there any way to execute a safe shutdown in case my UPS battery level reaches a critical level? Thanks |

Safe shutdown normally includes shutting down the application(s) connected to the SQL Server. Transactions are either commited or rolled back. This is a typical situation in patching, whereby a procedure is set up - normally scripted - which shuts down everything in a certain order. And also starts up in a certain orderJack Vamvas--------------------http://www.sqlserver-dba.com |
