Hi All,
I am facing below issue when connecting to server from SSMS 2012.

service microsoft.sqlserver.management.iregistrationservice not found.

I have only SSMS client tools installed on my system.

I tried the repair option but the process gets stuck and doesn't go further.I have waited for 2 hours and cancelled the operation.

please help.

Try reinstalling the client tools.

Hi ahmeds08,

I am also getting the same error when opening SSMS Management Studio 2014.

Service 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.IRegistrationService' not found (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SDK.SqlStudio)

I would like to know How did you fix it?
