What is this, Jeopardy? Is he/she giving the answer or the question?

I like Jeff's observation and would like to expand on it.

Transact-SQL for $400 please.

Answer is: "Example of Select,Insert,Delete, update which are complex subqueries"

What's the question?

Not a bad idea at all - an SQL newsgroup in Jeopardy format. Give awards to the MVP for the day. (I know I'd walk away broke, but the competition would be fun.)

Seems it's a 3rd degree surjective predicate in a Banach set.

What a B-star, eh?

It was a very poor maths joke:
a B-star (or B*) algebra is a Banach algebra with an antiautomorphic involution satisfying... various conditions. Or so it says here -- I don't understand a word of it.

The trouble is, Vit then deleted the message that the quote came from, rendering it totally useless.

Why, Arnold? Not a bad joke at all. I even googled for the B-star. :)
(Stoad chuckles too but without much understanding what's going on :))
