Microsoft announced that they are cancelling the MCM program. I think it is a loss for all of us - regardless of whether you aspired to be an MCM some day, or not.

I thought they were replacing it with a different but similar program. That sucks if they don't provide another program that indicates expert level knowledge. The people who achieved this are in a league of their own, for the most part at least. I admire them!

Yeah, this is an astoundingly stupid move on Microsoft's part. Between this and dropping Technet subscriptions, they're giving the finger to the IT pros who are (or were) their best advocates.

It's like Ballmer is doing a final slash-and-burn to make it impossible for the next CEO to succeed.
