I can't describe this any other way.We have an automated system that is basically a screen scraper but it writes to applications too. The application it uses has been updated so we are revising the automated system. One of the drop downs has a few typo's i as l etc as somewhere along the line one of the users has had to put these values into a database. Our automated system can therefore not select these values as it is typing them in correctly i.e without the typo's. We pointed out this issue to the admins of the application. Their solution is what I find incredible. Rather than correct the spelling that will be on the drop down they have added a couple of new entries which have different typo's deliberately added. Their (apparent) reasoning for doing this was so that the automated system could therefore select the correct one!!!!!I'm speechless, is it just me?steve-----------Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. |
