Hi Experts,

In one of my servers, its windows 2008 64-Bit server and sql server 2008R2, in the server I can see in the task manager the physical memory is showing 85% constantly it is not decreasing and it’s a Mirrored server not a production (Principal) server. I do not have any idea why the physical memory is utilized that much and in the task manager in the processes I can see that sqlserver.exe is using 17,722,996 k memory (private working set)
And 45,759,382 page faults, svchost.exe is using 1,241,688 memory (private working set) and 60,558,369 page faults. What might be the cause in using this much of memory what I should check and do to over come this?

Please let me know

Thank you in Advance.

Your page faults are way to high. What you mean by mirrored server ? Is it a mirrored server of a database mirroring ? What is the Target Memory and the Total Memory value for the server ?

Also is it a 32 bit or a 64 bit server ?

After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says W T F ....
