Hi,

My monitoring tool is showing alarms with description: # of active transactions for the entire server (44.00) is too high (>=5.00)

I have 2 questions:

1- What does this mean? Is there transactions that are not ending (awaiting command for example)??

2- is the threshold (5.00) good or needs to be modified?

Thank you

What is this monitoring tool?

Can't say for sure. Don't know if they mean explicit transactions or just active CRUD operations.

What's the result of DBCC OPENTRAN()

Are you experiencing performance issues?
