Hello , Need your help and suggestions on the following problem : I have Solaris 8 box setup as an application web server and SQL Server 2000 at the backend . The Solaris box is suppose to interact with SQL Server database through some kind of connectivity ( like JDBC ). Would like to know how do I install JDBC drivers for SQL Server on Solaris box so that it talks to the SQL server to connect to the database and how do i check to determine whether my connectivity to SQL DB is okay from Solaris .( Something like ODBC in Windows ) . Do i need to install some drivers on the SQL Server also ? I have IBM DB2 also installed on the Solaris Server . I have not worked on UNIX env. and would need your valuable info and help . Any website where I can get some info ? Thank you very much . |
