Hi,I attempted to install SP1 for Visual Studio 2008 on my XP SP3 laptop.It said it failed.Can anyone tell me how to find the log files containing details about the cause of failure?Thanks, John |

Found thisC:\Temp\Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 SP1_20090728_112606506-Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition - ENU-MSP0.txtTry looking somewhere round there.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

Thanks, Nigel.I still have not found the log/txt files but VS seems to be working alright.This laptop has SQL Server 2008 *R2*. The only SP1 I could find for Visual Studio is for Visual Studio 2008 - I assume there is not "R2" version of Visual Studio 2008 ?Thanks, John |
