Hello everyone,

This is 2008 R2 STD

I have installed an instance that has these features:

Database Engine
Reporting Services

And Shared Features:
BIDS
Client Tools
Integration Services
Books Online
Management Tools

** When I install a second instance, I will select Database Engine and Reporting Services of course.

But my big question is ?? Should I NOT select any of the Shared Featues - BIDS, MGMT Studio, Integrations Services?? I assume that I should NOT but want to be sure before I start the second instance install.

Thanks, John

No need to install
-BIDS
-Client Tools
-Books Online
-Management Tools

for 2nd instance.

Need to install
-Integration Services
if you want to run ssis packages on the 2nd instance.
