I have a 2 TB database with files spread over a few different drives and I need to move one of the files (a 400 GB one) off of the drive it's on. Is there any way for me to estimate how long it will take to attach the database after I've copied the file to its new drive? I attached a 1 GB db as a test and it happened almost instantaneously, but that's obviously a lot smaller than 2 TB.

An attach will be fast as there's no restore involved. It's the copying of the file that will take time.
