If you restart a SQL Server instance that has mirroring in place can it cause any issues when it comes back online?Will mirroring still be in place after the restart? Will the principal and mirror roles still be the same as prior to the restart.This is for asynchronous mirroring with no witness. |

If automatic failover isn't set up then yes, the mirror will say 'Disconnected' while the server is down, then 'Synchronizing' and then 'synchronized' when everything is back in synch. |
