Hi,Sql log keep on throwing the following error :" SQL Server detected a logical consistency-based I/O error: torn page (expected signature: 0xaaaaaaaa; actual signature: 0x55555556). It occurred during a read of page (1:470922) in database ID 8 at offset 0x000000e5f14000 in file 'E:\DATA\SQL\SG0\Data\PROD.mdf:MSSQL_DBCC8'. Additional messages in the SQL Server error log or system event log may provide more detail. This is a severe error condition that threatens database integrity and must be corrected immediately. Complete a full database consistency check (DBCC CHECKDB). This error can be caused by many factors; for more information, see SQL Server Books Online."I run DBCC checkdb on PROD database but encountered the following :" Msg 8921, Level 16, State 1, Line 1Check terminated. Well your initial CheckDB results were from the PROD database. Based on the new set, looks like you need to restore both.Something's done some real damage to the databases on this instance. Check your hardware, specifically the IO subsystem.--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |
