Hi,

I am trying to delete a database but cannot seem to delete the history. I can create a new database from the software but it seems the history file is preventing me from accessing the database to upgrade to a newer version.

We have had power interruptions and this caused the database corruptions.

SQL 2005 Error Msg 5242

Database name: SBO-COMMON

Your help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Jacques

You'll need to expand on "database corruptions". Does DBCC CHECKDB return errors for any of the databases (system and user dbs)? If so, you'll need to post the entire output.

Databases don't have a history. What history file are you talking about?

Yeah I was confused by that too, assumed the OP must be referring to the backup history in msdb.
