Dear All,i tried shrink log file of a database but it completed very fast and have no effect on .ldf file. Therefore i try using (DBCC SHRINKFILE(fun, 0)) also completed in second and have no effect on .ldf.What is happening to .ldf? |

Probably used blocks near the end of the file or open transactions==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

Why do you need to shrink the log file? What happened that it is now so large that you feel it needs to be made smaller? |
