Umm.Start by gathering requirements. You need to know what the system is to be used for and by whpo and what data is available.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

A great way to gather requirements is to ask what they want OUT of the system before you focus on how data will get IN to the system. You could spend months working on a design and interfaces and reports only to have someone say "but I wanted THIS on the report". If you didn't include THIS in the design, then you can't report it out.Hey, it compiles. |

If you are new to database design, why are you being asked to design a CRM system? Instead of your company purchasing a commercial CRM package?I mean, besides the obvious "because we've USED all the commercial CRM packages, and they're all crap". |
