 Trying to restore and got 'xp_fixeddrives' error

hi everyone, i'm pretty new w/ MS SQL so please bare with me. I'm trying to restore .BAK file into our current database, and everytime I click "ADD" in the "Specify Backup" window, I got this error :

Anyone can help or guide me through how to solve this ? is it Diskspace problem in our hosting ?

I don't know why you are getting these errors, but I'd suggest running the RESTORE DATABASE command instead.

tkizer, thanks for the reply.

could it be because im running Microsoft SQL Management 2008 in Win 7 ?? is there a port that need to be opened ??

No additional port is necessary to do a restore. Once you connect successfully to the database engine, that's all you need.

Try updating your client tools to the latest and greatest. Service packs and cumulative update packages contain bug fixes for the database engine but also the client tools. I update my client tools to the latest anytime the database engine gets updated.

tkizer, i'm updating MS SQL 2008 SP2 now, I hope it will help. also updating my Win7, maybe will help also.
