and sql has an ansii standard.It's implementation on any dbms will usually not conform strictly to the standard and will have extensions.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

I sometimes think everyone's lives would be easier if Microsoft had called it "MS DB Server" or something like that, instead of putting the word SQL in there. MS SQL Server = "Microsoft Structured Query Language Server" ?- Jeff |
