I'm stumped by this, hoping someone can help:I just installed two new default instances of R2, and when I go into a DB's properties to set up log shipping, there is no option for compression. I have 2008 developer edition in a lab, so I see where it should be (in between the schedule section and the note at the bottom), but there's nothing there - just like it would've been pre-R2 or in 2005.Thanks!(and yes, I did just sign up to ask this - long time lurker, first time poster) |

Could someone at least confirm that they're able to see the compression option in their log shipping wizard? Also, the log_shipping_primary_databases table DOES have the backup_compression column, so I believe I can make the change manually, but I haven't tested that yet. |
