HiWe are running a 2008 SQL Cluster and have data collection enabled via Management Studio. This gathers data every 15 mins and when it does so, the CPU jumps up from around 20% to 80% albeit briefly.Does anyone know how to decrease this CPU utilisation? Thanks |

I am not sure if you figured out the data collection processes are solely responsible for CPU spike. If you did, set resource governor to limit the CPU usage of these processes within workgroup. |
