We have at least two systems here is widespread use which have both a live and a test variant.

Given that is the case is it just me that thinks it strange that any system upgrade or patch is always applied to the live system before the test one. I think I can safely use the symbol for the first time.

I don't want any upgrade or patch to destroy my test system.

By 'test system' do you also mean 'emergency backup system when we've done something to production that we shouldn't have done and now we are screwed?'

You'll be asking why their definition of "Acceptance tests" is "Continuous rewrites of the original specification until it meets the product provided" next
