i have a db named "Sample" in my server. i have received a Sample.bak from another server. i need to restore in my server how to do.if had mdf and ldf i would have attached and detached it. since its bak file how to do it.Thanks in advanceIam a slow walker but i never walk back |

i think u can only do this by removing the current db and then implement the restore option. my backup file(.bak) doesnot contain log backup. so when i try to restore with the current db present, i get tail of log not backuped. how to do it.Iam a slow walker but i never walk back |
