Hi i seem to have a delay in my send email task. Does any one know why this maybe the reason. Emails are normally delayed by about 2 hours and in some cases 1 day.

Is it the task itself that takes forever to run or is this a problem with your smtp server? SQL server basically just sends a message to the smtp server about the contents of a new mail, it doesn't actually send the mail for you. So if it takes 2~24 hours for it to end up in your inbox I'd think that it's a problem with the smtp-server...
