Gurus,I am trying to install Sql server Developer editon 2005 on windows 7,i created a windows account and granted that account the admin rights, i am installing this on my laptop which is not in any domain , it is a stand alone box. When i reach the screen where it asks for option of domain account or Built in system account, and when i choose domain account and give the uername and password, what should be the domain in case of standalone machine?I want sql server to run under the account which i created and not the local system account but i am not able to proceed after that screen!!Nitin |

if you're on a standalone laptop, the domain name is the computer name.Or you could use .\UserAccount. |
