SSMS is almost unreadable on remote desktop the fonts are so small.

How can I increase the size of fonts, especially the object explorer?

You can increase the font for query text, but you mean the text showing database names etc on the left side ? I can't see how either.

My remote desktop is fine, so maybe it's a setting in your remote session that's the problem ?

Remote Desktop does tend to not use ClearType, which can be a bit unpleasant with fonts designed specifically for ClearType rendering.

The text in the Object Explorer is determined by the display properties. However, it doesn't update immediately that Display Properties|Appearance|Font size is changed: SSMS has to be restarted.

you can also change the display resolution of the RDP in the options screen of RDP.

Or can change the actual desktop of host machine same as you do with your local machine (right-click a blank spot on the desktop)

There are options to change fonts for the Editor tab, but I have yet
to find how to change the results tab font.

If it cannot be done in in 2005, at least let it be done in 2008.
