Hi,

I have to deploy a SQL Server 2008 on a server. The setup is this: 7 kiosks (unattended PCs) running an UI that connects to a DB server. They may have to connect in the same time, and use multiple connections to the DB.
I could not understand the SQL Server 2008 licensing. Which would be the least expensive license that suits this? I was looking at the Standard for Small Business, but it seems that it needs a domain controller, and there is none needed and none setup in my environment. And it comes with 5 device CALs, which is too little, right?
Thanks.

I would buy a server license (non-CPU) and 7 CALs.
