Hello everyone,

I have windows 7 64bit installed on my laptop, so is it necessary to install x64 version of sql server 2008? Also, very often i need to connect to a remote sql server 2005. If i install sql 2008 on my laptop, can i still remotely connect to the sql 2005?

Need help.

Thanks you.
Vishal

you can install x86 version of SQL Server on x64 OS. It will run in WOW mode.
If you have access to the SQL 2005 server, you should be able to connect from SQL 2008 management studio, if thats what you mean.
