Hallo,
i`m quite new to SQL, so please be gentle (-:
I have a SQL 2005 Express DB on a Win2k3 Server. There are several databases and the two icons "database snapshots" "system databases".
Now i`m able to backup the databases separately, buch i wonder, if there is a possibility, to backup all the needed data in one file?
Thanks for help.

You should backup the system databases as there are things in there that you might need to recover.

OK, so i don't need (Or isn't there just a possibility for this?) to backup the "database snapshots" and "system databases" field in SQL Management Studio?

backup master, msdb.

backup model if you've changed it.

don't backup tempdb.

up to u on the db snapshots. depends on the purpose for having them.
