When I am clicking on start mirroring getting the below error

The server network address "TCP://PC2.XYZ.COM:5024" can not be reached or does not exist. Check the network address name and reissue the command. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 1418)

Good to know. Is there a question here, or are you making an observation?

The error says that the specific address cannot be reached or does not exist. Have you confirmed that it can and does?

That will not fix the error.

Hello,

Could be a problem with the port. Check if your port config, if port 5024 is already in use ?

Thanks,

I have the same problem with this error. My questions is: Must 2 servers be in domain if i want to user mirroring? I dont want to have those 2 machines in domain so i am using "sa" user for connecting and etc.
Both computer can ping another computer. Firewall is turned off, i enter in both computers the ip addres in the host table. I realy dont know what to do next. I am using SQL2005 with SP3.
