Hi I recently installed sql server 2008.Because it's functionality was limited i tried to install the SQL Server® 2008 Management Studio Express. After downloading the file from the internet, I attempted to install and got the error message -not a valid win32 application.I downloaded the file a second time, but the same thing happened when attempting to install.Does anyone know what is wrong here |

1. Download Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express from the Microsoft web site at:http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=65110 2. Save the SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi file to your desktop. 3. When downloading has finished, double-click the SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi file on your desktop to start the installation process. 4. Click Run if prompted to allow the application to run. 5. Click Next. 6. Select the radio button next to “I accept the terms in the license agreement”. 7. Click Next. 8. Enter your Name and Company. 9. Click Next. 10. Click Next. 11. Click Install. 12. Click Continue if prompted for permission to continue. 13. Click Finish.[Spam removed] |
