I just thought of something after helping this guy out with an extremely simple query: http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=134650I would have been TOTALLY bummed out if I was charging by the hour to optimize this query so I thought of something else...how about charging a fixed amount for the number of seconds you could trim the average execution of a query?? 4 hours to "almost instantly" at a price of 10 us cent per second would be something like 1440USD for 2 minutes of work  - Lumbagohttp://xkcd.com/327/ |
