Hello Allthe USE AWE to allocate memory was not checked on the server properties.the server has been experienceing high 100% disk que andbuffer cache hit ratio down to 86since I check the AWE box it seems to have gotten better, but there were also over 200 sleeping connection that I killed.so I am not sure what made the difference.any thoughtsSteve |

I read that you need to enable lock pages in Memory for AWE. but this could also have bad results on server.the server has 3.5 gig of Ramserver 2003 SP2sql 2005 9.0.3042intel xeon 3ghz 4 processorsI had also added update statistic to the maint. plan that backups up nightly. added some indexs. |
