Hello experts,

I’ve been given a task to for Clustering SQL Server 2005. I’m trying to install Cluster SQL Server installation but its keep getting fail. After I provide with all the details Setup comes up to the stage where it say’s

“SQL Server setup is preparing to make requested configuration changes…”

After few minutes I get a message saying

“Setup failed to start on remote machine. Check the Task scheduler event log on the remote machine.”

I’m using to machines as active and passive notes and I know both are up and running fine. Now I’m not sure why I’m keep having the above error message and what is causing this problem & also where and which task scheduler event log it is asking me to go and check.

Can anybody think of anything which can cause the problem?

Thanks a lot in advance.

It's because someone is logged into the other node, which isn't allowed when installing SQL Server 2005 on a cluster. Here's my blog regarding the error: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/archive/2008/04/29/60577.aspx
