Hi

Is it possible to generate db diagram from existing tables automatically in sql2005 ?

I'd like to generate diagram from existing tables [arround 100].

No, it isn't possible to automate this (at least not that I'm aware of) in SSMS. There are possibly third party tools that will create diagrams but not within SSMS.

Question though: this is an odd thing to ask IMO so why ask? It's a trivial task to right click on Database Diagrams and make a new one. You can easily import all tables in one go.

I'm confused here.

I think the answer is yes, right click on Database Diagrams and make one.
