| Hi,Not sure if this is the right place to ask my question.I have a table with 3 fields: net , vat and total_value.Total_value =net+vat.Is the total_value column neccessary?ThanksWhisky-my beloved dog who died suddenly on the 29/06/06-I miss u so much. |

| can't say without knowing your application. logically, no it's not, but your application(s) may already depend on that field.is it a computed column? |
