Not cowards stoad. Simply put, I don't idolize "performers". I liked his music and am sorry to hear of his passing but I never met the man, never knew the man (outside of media-coverage) and am not part of his family. I feel remorse for them as they have lost a loved one but I did not. If you are going to idolize someone, find someone worthy of such adoration, someone like your mom, dad, grandparents, etc., not a mere icon or pop-star - just my opinion. Life does go on. And, exactly how did he unite people on all continents, maybe I missed that in the news???Terry-- Procrastinate now! |

Not to speak for all American's but as for me (an American) it is nothting so politically dramatic as that. It is simply a case of being "Michael Jackson'd" out. The media has been hammering us with everything MJ since his death. News media, entertainment media, 24/7 videos, discussion blogs, vlogs...you name it.Be One with the OptimizerTG |

We don't despise you! No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

tosscrosby, I don't idolize him (moreover I don't like his style of music)but strangely his death was quite a schock for me, as if smth was torn out of me.As to "uniting people", obviously he united people, it was his only mission on the Earth. He got nothing here, he only gifted. |

Don't confuse me being exhausted by our exploitative media with any lack of appreciation for a great talent. No one around here is likely to "throw away" MJ like yesterday's newspaper. Hey, I've been wearing my glitter-glove for two weeks now - even though my typing has really suffered ;-)Be One with the OptimizerTG |

At 05:00 22th June 1941 German Luftwaffe bombed my mom's land(she lived near to an airbase) Bombs buhm buhm buhmSoviet wooden (literally) planes were like a child against German planes. So many people perished And who is guilty? In my opinion, both sides. |

Personal;ly, I couldn't give a flying f%*k about him, he made some good tunes back in the 80's, but then he got all weird and started fiddling with kids. If it was anyone else, he would have been locked away for a very long time.Hey-ho, he died, all got to do it sometime.. |

He never was fiddling with kids; its what you want to think about himIts normal reaction, we always want to humiliate someone. |
