When you say 'corrupt' exactly what do you mean? What have you tried, what doesn't work, what errors are you getting?

In my experience, I have not found a data recovery tool that worked very well and I have never found a cheap one. Those thing are not easy to write.
I'm going to pretend I didn't hear you asking for illegal, stolen software.

Try using sp_attach_single_file_db on the SQL 2000 server. If it gives errors, post the complete error message here.

If you upgrade the DB to 2008, you will not be able to use it on SQL 2000 again. Upgrade is one-way and irreversible. If you don't mind that, you can try to attach it to the 2008 server. Use CREATE DATABASE ... FOR ATTACH_REBUILD_LOG (full details in Books Online)
