Hi,After setting my matrix within a list, the report is perfect in that the matrix repeats itself according to the expression i set in the list properties.Only issue is that when i export it as a excel file, only the first matrix has its contents grouped accordingly while the subsequent repeated ones becomes "static" and ungrouped - A very long list.I worked around it and found 2 solutions:1) Manually create 4 "matrix within list" separately, and add a hardcoded unique filter to each list.2) Use the original method but insert page break after each matrix (The list becomes multi paged?)Further problem with (1) is that whenever there are changes to the database (Add a new component and hence there should be one more matrix), I gotta come back to this source to add in a new "matrix within list" and its unique filter!? -Sweats-Further problem with (2) is that the Ops Team demands the report to be 1 page!!! -Faints-Is there a "small lil button that i forgot to tick" in order to allow me to use the original and intuitive method while ensuring the grouping is still there for the subsequent repeated matrices.lol, any help greatly appreciated! |

Not sure i understand you correctly. are you speaking about grouping applied to matrix? is this working fine when viewing in report viewer? |

Yup! the grouping applied to matrix - Is there any small lil thing to take note of in order to ensure the groups remains in an excel file?.The matrix is within a list to repeat the no of matrices, was working fine in report viewer.however, when i import the report as an excel file, the report turned awry in that the repeated matrices become ungrouped - thus a very long list. |

[Results that i want][Simple and Intuitive way of doing, less maintenance required][But the imported excel file is screwed - subsequent repeated matrices are not grouped anymore!][To workaround, I now duplicate 5 "matrix in list", using the list properties to filter 1 group per list - More maintenance! zZZZ][Gives me the excel groups i want]HOW CAN I GET THE GROUPED EXCEL SHEET WITHOUT HAVING TO MANUALLY ADD "MATRIX IN LIST" 1 BY 1 TIL THE COW COMES HOME?!Help appreciated. |
